When adding guest seating, it is very important to keep perspective of the space needed for your guest. You can estimate the average size needed for each guest chair to be a 30″ square. With that in mind, you will need to have a minimum of a 36″ square space available per chair. Ideally it is recommended to have additional 24″ available behind the chair as open space. If you have a bow front desk this will provide extra space for your guests legs.
